Dear Guys,
On the 22nd of April, all around the world is going to celebrate the Earth Day. The United Nations celebrates Earth Day, which was founded by John McConnell in 1969. As the global issues of climate change and energy conservation become more urgent, we try to increase the awareness about climate changes and encouraging action against climate change and other environmental problems. A lot of activities will be happening at the same time in many countries. Here in Vietnam, our school, United Nations International School, will also be joining that activity.
On behalf of my school, I would like to inform all of you about our activity and hope that you guys will join in and put your hands-on to protect our Earth.
Some of you know my school, United Nations International School (UNIS). We’re teaching kids from Kinder to Grade 12. I’m teaching in Grade 5. So, my students are at the age of 11. My students are coming from around the world (UK, USA, Canadian, Chinese, Korean, Vietnam, …..). They’re so intelligent, friendly, kind and .. naughty also!
My colleagues, my students and I have a plan to plant some trees around Hanoi. We have been thinking about which place will be suitable for that activity and I think that the place around Lang-Hoa Lac road or at Son Tay is a suitable place to plant trees. The place for planting can not be too far from our school (Tay Ho District) ‘cause we have to come back to school by the time they have lunch.
So, if you really want to put your hands on protecting Our Global, making a better place, please join in that activity. That activity also gain the seriously concern of the Social Community and official globally. You can also have a great chance to meet, talk and enjoy time with a native English speakers. If you are in our A Thousand Cranes English Club, I might think that it’s a great opportunity for E. Club to improve your English Skills.
Our plan is going on Tuesday, the 29th of April, from 9:00a.m to 11:30am, with 68 students and 5 teachers.
If you have any ideas about the place that we can plant trees and about what kind of tree can we plant, please right it down here, in that topic.
Also if you really want to join in that activity, please leave your name, with your cell phone number here. I will contact you as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for your caring!
Regards,
Nguyen Phuong Thao
